Class Descriptions
Muay Thai
Muay Thai is referred to as "The Art of Eight Limbs," where the hands, shins, elbows, and knees are all used extensively. When used professionally, it is a full contact, stand-up striking sport where kicks and punches can be used, differentiating it from Western boxing which uses only punching. Muay Thai not only requires full body strength, it also builds mental resilience. In our classes we focus on teaching the technique using heavy bags and focus mitts. Those training to fight can engage in sparring sessions to practice.
The instructors who teach this course have years of experience training this as a competitive sport as well as teaching it to those who just want to learn the art form.
